Burning Information

All outdoor burning is permanently banned in the southern Clark County Greater Vancouver Area and all the urban growth areas and within the city limits of Battle Ground, Ridgefield, LaCenter, and Yacolt.
When allowed, burning is limited to natural vegetation only in the remainder of Clark County.  A free permit is necessary for all fires up to 10 x 10 x 6 and can be printed from the Southwest Clean Air Agency website or can be obtained from any of our fire stations.  Piles larger than 10 x 10 x 6 require a written permit from the Clark County Fire Marshal’s office; they can be reached at 360-397-2186.

If you would like more information on local fire restrictions you can contact the Southwest Clean Air Agency at 360-574-3058 during normal business hours or visit their website.
For silvicultural or forest questions contact Department of Natural Resources Pacific Cascade Region Office at 360-577-2025 Or you can call the Southwest Clean Air Agency at 360-574-3058 or 1-800-633-0709.

A permanent annual Fire Safety Burn Ban goes into effect July 15 through September 30 throughout Clark County. This can be extended depending upon conditions.
