BRUSH PRAIRIE, WA-Statistics for 2016 are now in and the number of emergency calls responded to by Fire District 3 is up

almost 40 percent compared to 2007.

"The trend over the last ten years is important to us, and to the citizens we serve, "said Fire Chief Steve Wrightson. "Calls to

fight fires at homes or businesses require a different mix of firefighters and equipment than calls to help victims of heart

attacks or car crashes. Every call is important, and we want to do the best job we can to help people as if they're our own family

member."
