Clark County Fire District 3's Toy Drive Looks a Little Different in 2020

BRUSH PRAIRIE, WA - Clark County Fire District 3 is collecting gift cards and cash donations for area families in need. Cash donations will be used to purchase gift cards.

New Hires for Clark County Fire District 3 Thanks to Lid Lift and Annexation Votes

BRUSH PRAIRIE, WA - Clark County Fire District 3 recently welcomed four full-time and three volunteer resident firefighters to respond to calls by the end of the year. Additional personnel will allow the Fire District to go from four to five crews 24-hours a day and provide more capacity for the agency to respond to emergency calls district-wide.

Strategic Plan Approved for Clark County Fire District 3

Brush Prairie, WA - Clark County Fire District 3 approved a Strategic Plan for how it will serve District residents over the next five years. The plan provides a comprehensive look at the Fire District's current capabilities for operations, capital items and what is needed for the future. The plan also calls for annexing the City of Battle Ground to improve emergency services planning.

Proposal Will Be on February 11, 2020 Special Election Ballot

BATTLE GROUND & BRUSH PRAIRIE, WA - The city of Battle Ground and Clark County Fire District 3 have passed motions to place annexation on the February 11, 2020 Special Election ballot. The proposal would allow the City to annex to the Fire District, and must be approved by voters in both jurisdictions to take effect.

BRUSH PRAIRIE, WA - The Board of Fire Commissioners for Clark County Fire District 3 approved a resolution placing an annexation proposal on voter ballots during the February 11, 2020 Special Election.

Public Invited to Hearings on Possible Annexation Vote for City and Fire District

BATTLE GROUND & BRUSH PRAIRIE, WA - Three public hearings are scheduled where the city of Battle Ground will discuss the possibility of annexing to Clark County Fire District 3. The public is invited to attend and comment on a ballot measure proposed for the February 11, 2020 Special Election. Voters in both the city and fire district must approve annexation for it to go forward.

Investments in Emergency Services Stays with Fire District Residents While Annexation Talks Progress

BRUSH PRAIRIE, WA - Two years ago, voters in Clark County Fire District 3 approved a fire levy lid lift to improve staffing and emergency services. Two years later, the Fire District will welcome three new emergency personnel this September to help increase staffing in Venersborg and other parts of the district. The Fire District also plans to hire three more firefighters to respond to increasing call volumes.
