Just after 4 pm on Tuesday March 21, 2013 a wind event caused extensive damage to a barn near Hockinson. Fire District 3 crews responded to assist in clearing roadways and salvaging building contents.The National Weather Service categorized the event as a EF0 Tornado. It hit the building from a westerly direction, picking up pieces of the roof and spreading it over a 10-acre area to the east. The building partially collapsed after the event. There were no injuries, and no other property damage reported.
