Fire District 3 conducted CPR training for 150 high school seniors at Hockinson High School today (11/22/2013). Senior Arianna Bulder organized the event for her Senior Project. Dr. Lynn Wittwer, the Clark County Medical Program Director, gave a presentation on the benefits and techniques of hands-only CPR. Several personnel from Fire District 3, including high school Fire Cadets, provided instruction. Each student had to demonstrate the capability to perform hands-only CPR. The song Stayin Alive played in the background, providing a 100 compression per minute rhythm. Each student received a red wrist band with the inscription Fire District 3 - CPR Saves Lives. You can learn CPR too. Contact Fire District 3 or your local Fire Department for more information. (Click here to learn CPR through Fire District 3.) |
