Battalion Chief Dave O'Brien

Dave O'Brien serves as Battalion Chief on B Shift. Dave's responsibilities include Emergency Medical Services, Facilities, and the daily shift duties as a Battalion Chief. 

Dave grew up in the Venersborg area and after graduating from Battle Ground High School started his career in the fire service in 1987 as a volunteer with Fire District 3. After high school, he attended and graduated from the Oregon Health Sciences University Paramedic Education Program. He went to work in Las Vegas, NV first as a field medic with American Medical Response and later as a Flight Medic for Air REACT. In 2000, Dave returned to Clark County and was the Assistant Director of North Country EMS and served as a Firefighter and Lieutenant with Clark County Fire District 13. In 2005, Dave returned to Fire District 3 to lead our Emergency Medical Services Program.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from UNLV, along with being a Washington and Nationally registered Paramedic. In 2013, Dave graduated from the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program.

Dave lives in North Clark County with his wife and two daughters.
