Welcome to our website!

Fire District 3 responds to all emergency-related situations (fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, natural and manmade disasters, etc.). We live by our core values of professionalism, safety, teamwork, integrity, and community. Our Mission is to provide prompt, skillful and cost-effective fire protection and life safety. Our vision is to be the best rural fire district in America. Operating out of five stations, Fire District 3 protects 40,000 residents over 90 square miles including Brush Prairie, Hockinson, Venersborg, Heisson and the City of Battle Ground.

In 2018, the fire department responded to 4,221 incidents, a 5.3% increase over the last year. Call volumes increase an average of five percent per year.

CCFD 3 is served by three elected Fire Commissioners. They meet the second and fourth Monday of each month and all meetings are open to the public.

Forty-five full-time and 13 volunteer emergency personnel respond to calls. We have three 24-hours per day shifts. Fire service experience among personnel ranges from 38 years to less than one year, and the average length of service for career personnel is 11 years. Many of the people who work for Fire District 3 were born and raised in Clark County. Deep roots mean that we have a vested interest in seeing our community be safe and thrive. That's why we teach fire prevention education in our local schools and train community members in CPR, First Aid and, fire extinguisher use. Last year, we visited more than 300 homeowners in our district to help them reduce the risk of wildland fires. We also hold annual fundraisers to support community members in need as a result of medical emergencies.
